”A life on the wire” narrates the story of a circus man, a ropewalker, who has decided to live an alternative life travelling around the world performing his art. It is the story of a man who has taken the decision to do what he wanted to do instead of living an alienate life that normally the society offers to most of the people.

My photographs document different aspects of the life of a ropewalker in the modern circus environment. They tell us how this man lives, how he trains hard every day, the methods he follows in order to improve his performances, how he prepares his shows and, of course, his shows. They also present us his closest circle of friends, the circus family. The juggler, the man who spits fire, the dancers…
