This documentary project has born with the idea of showing the life and work of the local fishermen. I have started the project in Spain documenting the activity of fishermen in two traditional fishing towns (Aldán and Bueu, both in Pontevedra, Galicia). And then I have continued my project in two small fishing towns of south Devon (Teignmouth and Brixham, England) quite close to Exeter where I currently live, work and study.

I come from a spanish town with a big fishing tradition. I used to go fishing with friends and some of them are now professional fishermen. I know and understand the codes of this profession and the sea. Always exciting but always hard and dangerous too. However the life of these men is still a mystery for a lot of people. So, the main goal in this project is to document their lives in the sea to give you the opportunity to feel as a fisherman for a moment or, at least, to see and understand what these people do.
